Mavs Info

Visit the USA Mavericks Baseball Club online at for all schedule, roster, and coaching staff information.

The USA Mavericks Baseball Club was founded in 2004 with one U13 team. Coached by Dave Hoyt, this team participated in the AAU National Championship Tournament in 2005 and 2006, and earned a ranking of 11th in the nation.  The Mavericks organization has since grown to support over 120 top athletes in six age divisions, U11 through U18, as well as a summer collegiate team, the Seacoast Mavericks.  By maintaining the highest of standards for instruction and talent, USA Mavericks is now recognized as the premier youth baseball program in New Hampshire and Southern Maine.

USA Mavericks is owned and managed by Dave Hoyt.  Our coaching staff consists of more than fourteen former professional and collegiate baseball players including Kiké Calero and Dave Adam, who now dedicate themselves to the development of young athletes.
The USA Mavericks Club is a member of the New England Elite Baseball League.  We host public tryouts in August of each year for placement on our U11-U18 teams.  Our winter training program runs from November through March at the USA Training Center, and each team participates in a comprehensive schedule of games and tournament play during the spring season.  USA Mavericks players are considered exemplary athletes with unique talent on the field.
Most USA Mavericks players go on to compete at the college level, many with academic and/or athletic scholarships. Over the last four years, Dave Hoyt's extensive networking experience has had a direct result in Mavericks high school players being awarded a combined $4.1 million in academic and athletic scholarship money at colleges and universities all over the country.

By requiring and encouraging talent and hard work, we will have fulfilled our goals of developing the ‘whole’ player both in life and in baseball.

We believe that by providing exemplary instruction, a balanced training program, and the opportunity to compete at the highest level, we can develop a player's talent and abilities along a continuum of learning.  USA Mavericks is a sport program, but not just a compilation of teams.  Along with teaching the fundamentals of individual and team play, we emphasize the importance of character, sportsmanship, and respect.  Mavericks players are expected to be good students with the goal of academic success as well as success on the field.  A strong work ethic both on and off the field is required.

USA Mavericks provides an off-season instructional program that includes a weekly two hour practice at our indoor facility as well as additional Speed & Agility conditioning training one to two evenings per week.  In the spring, each team participates in competitive play against other teams within the New England Elite Baseball League. The number of games and tournaments is dependent upon age level, and most involve travel within the seacoast area.  USA Mavericks players and their families are expected to make a commitment to the program and understand that participation in scheduled tournaments is mandatory.  Our U11 and U12 program is specifically designed not to compete with local Little League and Cal Ripken spring schedules.
